We are a 5 piece group (plus keys) fronted by an engaging and entertaining male vocalist (future plans include potentially adding a female vocalist) playing r&b, rock, reggae, blues, soul & funk covers, and have been performing around town (bars & private gigs) 2-4 gigs a month since 2006. You would replace our recently departed keyboardist. You should be mature, responsible, not in financial despair, have good gear and reliable transportation. We are a group of 40 somethings, all with professional careers outside of music, and we like to get together 2-3 times a month to play our favorite music. We play out a few times a year- possibly more this winter as we get our set together again after some changes to the line up.
We all appreciate playing the tunes very well, sounding great and having a good time. Playing gigs is very much secondary. If you're like us- all played in bands when we were younger, did the gigging thing and now have real jobs but a desire to pick up the axe now and then, maybe you'd be a good fit. We really want a singer first and foremost- if you have keyboard skills- all the better- it will help us expand our set. Play lead/ryhthm guitar or bass also keys, some drums, sing lead or harmony(can arrange parts)No drugs, no alcohol while working, dependable, equipment, vehicle. Looking to form a new, hip, band to play for kids' parties and events. If you know any of the following; Dan Zanes, Laurie Berkner, Scribble Monster, Buck Howdy, you might be a good fit.
I play bass or rhythm-would rather play bass and have one guitar who can also do decent leads. Would also like drums, keys, and a female voice in there somewhere, too. The kids music scene in the TC metro needs some fresh faces! I'm looking to practice 1x/week and play out for 1-2 quality gigs/month. Let's have some fun playing a fun show that we'll be proud to have our kids see. Let's throw in some stuff that the parents will like too but is family friendly-Beatles, 80s, Lady Gaga?
