Atheist / Agnostic Alcoholics Anonymous - Sunday 6 pm

Atheist/Agnostic Alcoholics Anonymous (We Agnostics Of Uptown)
Men's Center in Minneapolis (women welcome too)
3249 Hennepin Ave South, Suite 55 (in the basement)
Corner of 33rd St. W. & Hennepin Ave. S.
(3 blocks south of the Hennepin Ave. / Lake Street intersection;; and 3 blocks east of Lake Calhoun).
Minneapolis, MN 55408
Every Sunday 6:00 p.m.

We're a group of mostly "higher power challenged" men and women that have been meeting every Sunday since January 2007. Our meetings are usually secular, non-theistic, and without prayers. We do not endorse or oppose any form of religion or atheism. Our only wish is to assure suffering alcoholics -- regardless of religious or spiritual belief or disbelief -- that they can find sobriety in A.A. without having to accept anyone else's beliefs or having to deny their own. Spiritual topics sometimes come up, and people are free to share their own personal form of spiritual experience, their search for it, or their rejection of it.

We are also listed at aaMinneapolis.org as "We Agnostics Of Uptown". We are *NOT* affiliated with the Men's Center, we just rent a room there.

Need A Few Good Men on 10/22/2009

Need a few good men to join our Singles Dance Group that has a few extra women.

Our next event is
Exuberant and Elegant Cha Cha Cha Dancing
Thursday 10/22/2009
7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.

On this day, we will do the beginning and advanced steps in the exuberant and elegant dance Cha Cha Cha (also called Cha Cha). This is the dance made famous by the movies, touring shows, and classic poses that you have always wanted to learn, but never had a chance.

You can dance Cha Cha Cha to music played by Salsa/Latin bands, Ballroom/Big Bands, and Country bands. (There are a few fun Cha Cha line dances too.)

We will be rotating partners frequently to make sure that
** Nobody is without a partner for long, and
** You get to dance with most everybody of opposite gender in the group.

Couples and partnered people are welcome if you are willing to rotate partners with everybody in the group.

We will meet at Patrick's Cabaret at 3010 Minnehaha Avenue South at Lake Street, Minneapolis, MN 55407.
** There are parking lots on both sides (South and North) of Patrick's Cabaret, and you can park at any open spot marked Patrick's Cabaret.
** In addition, street parking is free after 6:00 p.m.
** There is a Police Station across the North parking lot. This means we will be safer in this area. However, be sure to follow all parking rules/signs.
** There are a number of bus lines running near this location, and the light rail is only two blocks away.
** The entrance to the studio is through the red door at the back end of the South parking lot.

Please bring your own beverage to drink during the lesson. There is no alcohol allowed at the studio. However, some of us like to go out for food/drinks at a nearby establishment after the lesson. (If you know of any nice places nearby, please let us know. Hopefully, they serve food at least until 10:00 p.m. on Thursdays, have a full bar, and may be even have some happy hour type deals.)

Cost is only $10/night. (Please bring cash; exact change is preferable.) Any night we have more than 20 members, we will do a drawing for one person to get a free class.

We hope to see you there!

Feel free to pass this information onto your friends/family/co-workers. The more the merrier. :-)

Come & meet other women who share your concerns! Wednesday evenings: 5:30 - 7:00PM (next group starts Oct. 28th) OR Monday afternoons: 12:00 - 1:30PM (next group starts Nov. 9th). Cost is $25/session. Space is limited.
