Tentative Work Schedule: 7:30AM:3:00PM; 52 weeks

Under general supervision, oversees the distribution and transportation of product from the Nutrition Center to MPS sites; ensures safe, accurate, timely, and efficient distribution and delivery.

Essential duties and responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, the following:

:Provides support and training to food delivery drivers on proper storage and transportation and delivery of food items to sites.
:Oversees district HACCP plan for distribution and delivery; ensures drivers understand and are held accountable to the food safety practices in the HACCP plan; ensures food temperatures are monitored and recorded.
:Troubleshoots delivery issues, product shortages, product substitutions/case counts, delivery errors and food emergencies.
:Maintains distribution and delivery standards and verifies accuracy of shipments.
:Manages paperwork to include order sheets, order additions, returns/ pick:ups, vehicle pre:trip inspections, Truck Temperature logs.
:Utilizes data from the internal ordering system and other sources to manage product.
:Ensures deliveries are stored properly upon delivery to MPS sites and all MPS equipment is picked up and brought back to the Nutrition Center.
:Operates powered fork lift and riding pallet jack, and moves material according to work order and material requisition form.
:Collaborates with coworkers to coordinate activities of individual departments.
:Works independently, and assures that all safety rules, regulations and policies are observed; performs duties within scope of authority and training, and in compliance with MPS policies.
:Monitors work site to assure that safety rules and regulations are adhered to, and that the work zone and all equipment are in safe operating condition.
:Demonstrates courteous and cooperative behavior when interacting with students, clients, visitors, and MPS staff; acts in a manner that promotes a harmonious and effective workplace environment
:Enthusiastically promotes the Superintendents goals and priorities in compliance with all policies and procedures.
:Maintains absolute confidentiality of work:related issues, records and MPS information.


Education, Training and Experience Guidelines
High School Diploma or GED equivalent; AND three (3) years of coordinating and managing food distribution experience; OR an equivalent combination of education, training and experience as determined by Human Resources.
