About the role:
TheMedical Affairs Manageris a key role that works with Thought Leaders (physicians) at key accounts atthe national level. This person works with these physicians/accounts to develop a strategic partnership across the Interventional Cardiology and Structural Heart franchises for BSC. The Medical Affairs Manager takes the lead in driving opportunities and connections that enable BSC to work more closely with key customers by engaging R and D, clinical, and marketing, as well as other functions. This personwill also work with senior management at BSC to align priorities and deliver on these key relationships.
Your responsibilities will include:
:Facilitate the key interactions of national "Thought Leader" physician customers with Boston Scientific through defined corporate strategies.
:Understand how we are working with our key physicians across functions and be an internal resource for the information.
:Developing tailored coordination strategies as needed to maximize effectiveness of Thought Leader/BSC interaction.
:Creating new ways to appropriately engage the thought leaders and our Advisory Board members.
:Driving the thought leader initiatives throughout the organization cross functionally.
:Coordinate ad hoc "advisory board" requests.
:Follow:up with thought leaders between events/congresses to deliver key currencies to them that help BSC achieve its goals.
:Continue the focus of physician coordination and engagement with BSC.
:Interact with Clinical, Marketing,Sales Leadership, Senior Management and other groups.
:EnsureThought Leaders have the latest BSC information, establishing a veryconstant level of communication
:Work to solveclinical questions that may arise surrounding clinical research and Investigator Sponsored Research (ISR) opportunities : linking the account/ Thought Leader into the appropriate channels
:Work with Thought Leaders in developing flow and content for their regional meetings
:Work closely with Med Ed group to ensure that Speakers Bureau content and slides are delivered and physicians are prepped prior to BSC speaking events
:Develop and maintain a working level of expertise in all marketed and pipeline Interventional Cardiology products : especially Drug:Eluting Stents, chronic total occlusion and complex PCI, transcatheter aortic valve replacement, left atrial appendage closure
:Develop and maintain a solid knowledge base of current developments in relevant fields of Interventional Cardiology and other BSC divisions.
What were looking for in you:
:Bachelors degree required in Life Science area; RN or Masters Preferred in a related field
:6+ years of medical marketing/clinical/sales experience (cardiovascular, peripheral, and/or structural heart preferred)
:Must be proficient in the use of Microsoft office suite, especially MS Word and PowerPoint
:Ability totravel (50) to medical meetings, hospitals, and/or other BSC facilities
:Excellent written and verbal communication
:Strong skills in building solid rapport with key physicians and medical leadership
:Strong interpersonal skills to enable cross function and cross franchise success
:High sense of urgency and commitme
