Electrical Engineer II
About the role:
::a name_MailAutoSig:Participate as an Electrical Engineer member of our Systems Engineering Team for medical device and equipment systems supporting Interventional Cardiology and Peripheral Intervention Business Units.
:Utilize a variety of new and proven technologies to deliver life:changing systems to patients and clinicians in support of BSC's mission.
:The position includes a variety of sustaining engineering and new product development opportunities.
:There is opportunity for future growth and leadership working with a global team.
:Responsible for providing electrical and electronic engineering expertise for the design, development, and sustaining of complex electronic medical equipment systems, including sensors, embedded systems, algorithms, hardware, and associated disposable medical devices.
Your responsibilities include:
:Designs, develops, debugs, modifies, and tests electrical circuits and systems by using current tools, analysis techniques, and technologies.
:Documents electrical development by writing documents, reports, memos, change requests. Methods used are determined by approved procedures and standards.
:Tracks electrical development effort by creating and maintaining records in the approved tracking management tool.
:Solves engineering problems by analyzing the situation and recommending corrective or alternative actions.
:Analyzes, evaluates, verifies, requirements, circuits, and systems by using engineering practices.
:Investigates, researches, selects electronic circuits, components, tools, equipment and practices.
:In all actions, demonstrates a primary commitment to patient safety and product quality by maintaining compliance to the Quality Policy and all other documented quality processes and procedures.
What we're looking for:
:Degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering
:Bachelor's Degree with 2:4 year experience OR Master's Degree with 1:2 year experience
:Industry experience or internship/co:op
:Solid lab skills and experience with debug, fixtures, test circuits or electronics circuits
:Travel can be up to 10 to BSC divisions and suppliers world:wide
:Digital/Analog PCBA circuit definition, design, and evaluation
:Industry standards and regulations for medical electrical equipment
:Medical device electronics and systems
:Brushless DC motors and motor control circuitry
:Working with contract manufacturers and/or material suppliers
:Strong communications and time management abilities
:Shows potential for leadership and entrepreneurship
