Description Summary 13;
The Affordability Clinical Research Analyst position directs and provides clinical research and new healthcare related savings opportunities for the Affordability team in Health Management. The incumbent provides in depth knowledge of current clinical health care codes and medical policies. This position manages the Affordability dashboard by monitoring implemented initiatives and suggests potential solutions for those not meeting expectations. They may also lead Tiger teams. The incumbent will lead efforts to define meaningful contributions that will influence strategic decision:making at Blue Cross Blue Shield of Minnesota. 13;
:Responsible for all implemented affordability initiatives.
:Lead role for researching areas of affordability to determine new opportunities.
:Ensures initiatives are on:track to meet affordability savings goals.
:Meets with business owners bi:monthly.
:Leads Tiger teams (cross functional group to create business cases).
:Assists with writing of business cases of initiatives.
:Manages and updates affordability dashboard through solid financial analysis techniques.
:Management of vendors, providing oversight of business process, compliance and measuring success criteria.
:Bachelors degree in a clinically:related or business field and 7 years work experience in healthcare.
:Knowledge of medical literature evaluation and medical technology assessment methods (CPT/ICD:9 codes).
:Superior analytical, organizational, project management and problem solving skills.
:Proven financial analysis skills.
:Strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
:Demonstrated ability to influence others.
:Proven ability to exercise good judgment and make independent decisions.
:Ability to work independently; well:organized and able to set priorities with minimal direction.
:Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing.
:Experience in presenting to groups and committees.
:Strong PC skills; Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Word, and internet based programs.
:Ability to develop and work on several projects at one time.
:Ability to maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders, clinicians, and others.

:Building strong presentations, a plus.
