The Strategic Sourcing Analyst will play a highly collaborative and visible role as part of a global, fast:paced, cross:functional team.
The primary responsibility for this role will be supporting the sourcing initiatives that will enable global growth and additional capabilities for the Services organization.
The Strategic Sourcing Analyst will support the strategic sourcing process which includes market analysis, vendor identification and outreach, request for Information/request for proposal development and execution, and vendor response analysis.
Primary duties and responsibilities
Analysis and Evaluation 50
:Collect, evaluate, and analyze data regarding cost and availability of potential vendors, materials, and services.
:Provide research and input into financial aspects of sourcing efforts including material analysis, labor analysis, and rate analysis in establishing cost targets, goals, and recommendations.
:Analyze data and prepare specific deliverables (reports, graphs) based on data.
Sourcing Coordination 40
:Support global initiatives with collaboration with the various company functions (Operations, Marketing, Engineering, Finance, etc.).
:Design and perform Request for Information (RFI) or Request for Proposal (RFP) efforts with identified vendors.
:Provide recommendations based on sourcing information which includes risk and mitigation.
Project Support and Reporting 5
:Coordinate with other functions and business units, driving alignment and support for sourcing or supply chain projects.
:Provide regular, ongoing data or reporting on sourcing initiatives.
Continuous Improvement 5
:Support implementation of process and system enhancements to improve supply chain efficiency.
:Analyze business trends and make recommendations for improvement and continuous improvement.
:Actively supports Pelicans Quality Objectives and contributes to Quality Management System activities as assigned.
:Follows company policies and practices as outlined in Handbook and follow guidelines regarding safety as outline in the AWAIR, and other safety procedures in accordance to the job.
:Performs additional duties as assigned.
:A bachelors degree or equivalent knowledge and experience in business, supply chain, procurement, or finance with a minimum of one year of experience with estimating and pricing, proposal pricing, costing, issuing request for proposals (RFPs) or procurement, or related work experience.
:Must be proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and other appropriate computer software programs.
:Must have excellent data entry skills to ensure accuracy of information entered into systems.
:Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as presentation skills.
:Ability to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner.
:Must be able to work and interact effectively and cooperatively with vendors, customers, team members, and employees at all levels of the organization.
:Must have excellent analytical, organizational, and problem:solving skills.
:Must be highly detail:oriented and have the ability to meet deadlines.
:Experience in a fast:paced work environment and have the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
:Ability to work independently and complete assignments within the time frame specified by the manager.
:Must be able to work a flexible schedule based on project or global time zone requirements.
:SAP Systems knowledge
