Description Summary 13;
Responsible for providing key public relations, reputation management counsel, and newsroom:style social media content creation at all levels of the company. Position has a strong emphasis on persuasive writing and verbal skills as well as providing consultative public relations support to various internal business areas. Responsible for development and oversight of specific strategic communications initiatives that ties to overall public relations strategy. Accountable for public relations representation on strategic cross:functional initiatives.
:Works with assigned business to align public relations strategy with business objectives; advises on optimal message content and timing; develops appropriate level of short term and long term support.
:Contributes to the development and fostering of relationship with key media contacts.
:Serves as media contact and responds to media requests.
:Provides business and consumer focused brand journalism for company blog.
:Secures media placements related to assigned business areas and projects.
:Coaches business partners on key message development and becoming effective company spokespersons.
:Bachelors degree in journalism, public relations, or communications and 5 years of public relations, communications, marketing communications, social media or communications project management experience or 9 years of relevant experience in lieu of degree.
:Proven experience in effectively communicating with top:level executives and external stakeholders.
:Exceptional collaboration skills with the ability to partner effectively within the company.
:Demonstrable skills in media relations and social media development.
:Proven ability to present complex business ideas, strategies and results succinctly and persuasively at a senior executive level.
:Highly effective writing skills and verbal presentation skills that drive impactful stakeholder action.
:Strong team player able to work well across teams.
Preferred Requirements 13;
:Knowledge of health industry preferred.
