About the Role:
Seeking a highly motivated individual to join the Stent Finishing area of the Metals Core Technology Department. As a team member you will have the opportunity to work in a world class medical device manufacturing environment with exposure to multiple manufacturing technologies.
Your Responsibilities Will Include:
:Maintenance activities for automated PC and PLC controlled manufacturing equipment.
:Identify and troubleshoot process, material or equipment problems to minimize down time and improve process yields.
:Identify, design, and implement process equipment changes to improve reliability of the process.
:Modify existing and develop new tooling and fixtures.
:Revise existing documents, processes, and/or methods to correct or improve processes/product.
:Work with vendors/suppliers to procure and install tooling, fixtures, and/or equipment.
:Assist in writing validation plans, executing plans and completing validation reports.
:Assist in writing Process Change Assessemnt Forms and executing the actions to complete the process change.
:Assist in Value Improvement (VIP) projects, implementing new equipment or processes, or improving existing ones for cost savings.
:Collect data and perform statistical analysis for process characterization, Ppk, and scrap reduction goals.
:Work with Process Development to bring new products into production.
:Work with departmental customers to improve material quality and delivery.
:Train and provide technical support or direction to product builders and other technicians.
What We're Looking for In You:
:AA Degree or equivalent work experience in related discipline and 0:3 years of related experience.
:Self:Motivated to seek out opportunities to improve business performance
:Communicates well with peers about issues/problems that arise
:Previous Medical Device, Aerospace, and/or Automotive Experience.
:Hands on experience with manufacturing equipment maintenance and support.
:Control system experience such as PLC
:Ability to read mechanical prints and schematics
:Experience with measurement equipment
