Engineer position in the Optical Connector Design Engineering Team. Incumbent will support the release of new optical connectors, and cost reduction and improvement of existing optical connectors.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Create designs of new optical connector components and assemblies.
Create documentation to support the release of new and modified optical connector parts and assemblies.
Support the optical and mechanical testing of new and modified optical connector parts and assemblies.
Work with Manufacturing on process development and introduction of new products into Manufacturing.
Good data analysis and evaluation skills.
Learn and stay current with industry and technology trends.
Bachelors degree (current or completed by July 2018) in related curriculum such as Engineering or Physics with 0:3 years of experience.
Strong engineering skills with mechanical aptitude and hands on skills.
Ability to work well in a team environment
Ability to learn quickly
Ability to innovate and be creative.
Creo 3D design software a plus.
Knowledge of fiber optic technology a plus
