Our client in Plymouth is searching for an experienced Administrative Assistant to join their growing team

ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT POSITION SUMMARY: Maintain item information including price, pack, weight, description, item number, etc. on computer and catalog. Answer dealer and vendor phone calls. Filing and other clerical duties. Experience in a retail hardware environment is strongly preferred

:Answers phone calls from dealers and vendors (provides information on pricing and products)
:Maintains current product information on the database, i.e. description, pack, weight, factory numbers, pricing, fine line class and vendor file maintenance
:Prepares and processes new item worksheets (checks for accuracy)
:Prepares new item catalog sheets, and sends to marketing. Obtains art and copy from vendors. Proofs and corrects errors in the catalog and advertisements
:Inputs vendor information on:line
:Distributes mail for department
:Copies, faxes and files as necessary
:Assists in layout and other duties relating to dealer mailings and bulletins
:Input and maintain on:line market information
:Handle discrepant receiving reports
OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES: Performs other work:related duties as assigned

:High School Diploma or GED
:Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
:Ability to organize, prioritize and meet deadlines

:Strong written, verbal and interpersonal skills
COMMUNICATION (written and oral): Must be able to provide or obtain basic types of information. Provide explanations on non: technical matters. Write words, numbers, letters, or symbols. Writing text designed to communicate or provide explanations on non:technical information.Strong verbal and written skills

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Must be able to perform basic arithmetic (e.g. add, subract, multiply, or divide), analyze rates and proportions, and perform basic algebraic operations.

READING ABILITY: Must be able to read instructions, lists or notes. Must be able to read text of medium difficulty requiring understanding of the logic of arguments or methods.

REASONING ABILITY: Solving easy to apparent problems through probing, inquiry, or research for precise identification

VISUAL REQUIREMENTS: Must have near vision, clarity of vision at 20 inches or less. Must have accommodation of vision : adjustment of lens of eye to bring an object into sharp focus when shifting focal point from one object to another of carrying distances. Must have field of vision : ability to see a specific area up and down or to the right or left while eyes are fixed on a given point.
