Tennant is seeking a Tax Analyst at our global headquarters in Minneapolis, Minnesota. The Tax Analyst would work with the Tax Manager and the other Indirect Tax Analyst in the areas of sales and use tax, GST, personal property tax and business licenses. The position involves managing sales and use tax audits, assuring completion and payment of personal property tax returns, and serving as the Tax Department subject matter expert on indirect tax issues. This person would work with the Tax Team on income tax compliance, to include preparation of federal, state and international tax returns and workpapers.
:Work with Tax Manager and Indirect Tax Analyst on sales and use tax audits.
:Assist in income tax compliance, to include preparation of federal, state and international income tax returns and workpapers.
:Manage outsourcing of personal property tax compliance, to include gathering of information and bill payment.
:Complete renewal of business licenses.
:Prepare account reconciliations.
:Manage outsourcing of Minnesota Capital Equipment claims.
:Research and document tax issues.
:Assist Customer Service with exemption certificate questions and inquiries regarding tax on invoices.
:Tax Department liaison/subject matter expert on indirect tax issues to other departments.
:Bachelors degree with accounting emphasis
:Minimum of 2 years accounting and/or tax experience
:Minimum of 2 years sales and use tax experience
